A dream

I am so excited with the prospect of Tapir visiting, I can't sleep the whole night. Now so tired...

I had a dream yesterday. Of all people, I dreamt of Monkey Boy. Monkey boy is the best Helpdesk support staff I have ever met. He joined 3 months after I joined as a trainee and proceed to stay on as permanent staff. Together with Super Chu Chai who later become my Pig Brother, we endure storms and hurricanes of supporting the users. I used to do helpdesk work too. He was so good that we exploit him for personal use - as in drag him with us to PC Fair for his expert opinion or ask him to fix our personal PC FOC.

Despite his superior knowledge in computers, he is a nice boy but extremely shy. So shy that his entire repertoire of conversation language is all one word based, like this:-

Me: Monkey boy, help! Today when I login to my PC, the monitor is not working and on top of it, smoke is coming out of the CPU and it's making 'tick tock tick tock' noises..... can you come see?

Monkey boy: why?

Me : I don't know, can you come and see?

Monkey boy: har?

And he likes to drag his one word answers really long like "Wwwwwhhhhhhyyyyyyy..........?" to give you the impression he actually answered you in full sentences. I heard some year ago, his resolution is to answer in two words instead of one. I think it was a success because every time I emailed him to ask about his well-being, he will reply " mana air ticket?" (where is the air ticket?). Improvement?

If you don't know Monkey boy, he can drive you up the wall, make you take elevator to the highest storey in the office and jump from the balcony. Which is why he is now based in Cyberjaya office which only has 3 storeys. That way, anyone driven to jump from top of the building will only have broken bones at most-won't die and still can come back to work after a few days MC. Ha ha ha...

Despite that, Monkey boy has a kick-a.s.s Avanza that all the ladies like very much. Like Reader Digest, it is the car of choice every time we drive out for lunch. Reason, his MPV is full of plush soft toys! We all like to hug his toys much to the guys chagrin. Super Chu Chai said the toys are a strategy to attract girls. All the neighbouring cars look at Monkey Boy's MPV enviously at traffic light stops. His MPV is always full of girls. Don't know why he grumbles when Monkey boy put Super chu chai as Babi Leng chai in his HP caller ID. How many straight guys actually acknowledge another guy leng chai right?

I quite miss this eccentric friend but I guess the reason why I suddenly dreamt of him is because his bad 'jeje' Tapir is coming for a visit.
